Sonny Ryan is a Music Producer, Songwriter, and Photographer based in New York City. Born in Brooklyn, Sonny grew up listening to all kinds of music but it wasn't until their teens that they fell in love with electronic music and became immersed in the genre. They began making music when they downloaded a free app titled Music Maker JAM which allowed them to use loops and samples to create songs. Later on, their teacher, seeing their drive and determination to become a producer, bought him a Mac with Logic Pro X, allowing Sonny to make music whenever.

In February 2023, Sonny released their debut EP Wild Youth which is a mix of Synth-Pop, Dream-Pop, and Ambient music. The idea of the EP came when Sonny hung out with friends and had super inspired by what they had experienced. Some of the artists that were a major influence on the EP were Midnight Kids, San Holo, M83, Jai Wolf, and Taylor Swift. In April of that same year, Track 2(VIP)/I Dream Of You was also released and a House track titled Time To Shine was released on July 12.
